Vortex V12- Independent Recognition

Rodale's Scuba Lab is an independent testing operation contracted by Rodale's Scuba Diving (RSD) magazine to perform comparative evaluations of diving equipment. Over the last six years, thousands of tests have been conducted on hundreds of different models of SCUBA equipment.

These reviews represent the only objective evaluations of dive equipment available to the recreational diver.

Scuba Lab was the first and is still the only entity to independently conduct comparative testing of equipment. Rodale Press, as a publishing firm, takes a consumer position in all testing and reporting. Articles are not driven by advertising. Reports are based on test results, not the opinions of testers or editors.

Scuba Lab, through RSD, gives Tester's Choice Awards to those products that out-perform the others tested, and Best Buy Awards to those products that stand out when price and performance are compared.
