There are two separate courses for photography. They can be done together over two days or individually. First course is Level 1 and the second is Level 2, They both include classroom, pool session, review and boat is optional but recommended on level two) and shore dives ption is also available dependant on conditions.
These can be done as separate stand alone courses or for maximum benefit as a combined Course
Day one - Level One
The theory Session we will discussing underwater photo topics and terminology, work with our cameras, and learn how to apply these new skills underwater, before taking to the water for hands-on experience.
After diving we will review your photos and discuss ways to improve your skills for your next underwater photo dive.
The Digital Underwater Camera and Housing can be hired for $39.00 or you may use your own camera and underwater housing. Special deals on our underwater camera range is available for students enrolled in the course.
Day two - Level Two:
Meet at Dive Charter boat which takes us to Rottnest Island for two boat dives(optional but recommended). Apply all knowledge learnt from first days but now taking photos of local marine life. You will practice photo composition for both Macro and wide angle also good buoyancy skills to minimize environmental impact. Learn the best technique to take photos in our waters, flash or no flash with how to white balance underwater.
If due to weather not permitting we can also go shore diving instead!
This is a practical hands on course, achieving good buoyancy will be the master to becoming a better diver and naturally take better photos!
Your Instructor is Veruschka Menlove who has been a "Professional Underwater Photographer" for many years and has been involved in several TV documentaries around the world. Students will gain a complete knowledge on the training topics given her significant experience.
